No. 81
Shown here is Stone Harbor’s Leading General Store. This property was built in 1910 by Miss M. L. Van Thuyne, of 425 Vine Street, Philadelphia, and was located on 84th Street between First and Second Avenues, fronting on the broad Pennsylvania Railroad Station Plaza. Miss Van Thuyne acquired her land free under the popular Stone Harbor Bond Plan. In addition, it should be noted that one of the very first stores opened for business in Stone Harbor was the M. L. Van Thuyne General Store that was situated at 180 85th Street and Second Avenue.
