It’s a fine day to pose for a family photo in the summer of 1937. All we know is that this nice house was referred to as the Jones House. It was located on 94th Street between First and Second Avenue. The gentleman with bowtie and long-sleeve white shirt who just might be the Grandfather and the young girl in this image are standing in front of a mid-1930s touring automobile. Just across the street is another somewhat older 2-seater auto with rumble seat. The 2-story house with attic in the background is the very popular shingled style with a screened-in porch across the front. At the rear of this house we can see two more porches, one for each floor. If any of our viewers/readers have any more facts and details about this family and the house depicted in the accompanying photo, kindly share that information with us using the comments portion on the Stone Harbor Museum group Facebook/Meta webpage. Thanks in advance for any and all information you can supply.
