Contribute to our Capital Campaign

Dear Friends of Stone Harbor,

We hope this letter finds you well.

Here at the Museum, exciting new improvements are on the horizon! For the past few years, each Fall season, we have a Capital Campaign to help pay down the mortgage. This year, our focus has changed We moved into our new location in 2017. Since then, we have delayed some critical capital improvements due to cost. With the renewed interest in the Museum, we have decided to implement these improvements in 2022. We are looking to enhance your experience at the Museum when you return this spring.

During the winter months, we will be:
• Pulling up the old, worn-out carpeting and replacing it with vinyl tile
• Updating the lighting system for the Speaker series, exhibits, and window displays
• Adding a sound system to enhance our Speaker series
• Improving the partition walls by adding trim work to enhance the displays
• Patching the walls and painting the entire Museum

We are committing to these improvements so you can enjoy all the wonderful relics, exhibits, and events at the Museum in an environment that allows you to truly appreciate them.  A project of this magnitude is new for us. The estimated cost of these improvements is $45,000. Our goal is to raise all of the funds during this year’s Capital Campaign. With your help we know we can get there.

We have made every effort to simplify the contribution process this year.  Everyone on our mailing list was sent a card which can be completed and returned in the self-addressed envelope or you can use our new process which accepts Debit / Credit cards and Venmo which below.

Please consider donating to the 2021 Capital Campaign to help us achieve our goal. Your support is vital to ensuring that the Stone Harbor Museum remains a place “where memories come to stay”.

My best to you and your family for a safe and joyous Holiday season.

Very Best,
Mike Turner
President, Stone Harbor Museum
